Dr. Alan Grant, DDS
Hello there! My name is Dr. Alan Grant. I was born and raised in Hayward by my mother and father, who were hygienists and pediatric dentists, respectively, before retiring, making me half hygienist and half dentist. I received my DDS from the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry at the University of the Pacific campus in San Francisco. When I’m not in the office, you can find me at home, painting miniature figures for board games that my friends and I enjoy playing. I also love to go camping with my wife and friends and snowboard in Tahoe to get some fresh air and great exercise.
As a dentist, I must inform patients about their oral health and treat any disease or issues that undermine their well-being. My goal is to educate patients about their oral health to have the knowledge and tools necessary to have functional and thriving teeth that will take care of them for as long as they live. I firmly believe in patient empowerment, so I take time to describe what’s going on inside their mouth using photographs, radiographs, models, and analogies to help demystify dentistry. Nothing is more satisfying to me than having a patient take charge of their oral health and have their life transformed for the better.

My job involves providing oral health care to my patients, and ensuring they are educated in keeping a healthy smile. Our team goal is to provide the best service and family environment to all of our patients. We work together to meet our patients’ dental needs, and make them feel right at home when they visit our office. Patient satisfaction is our number-one goal.
I enjoy working with Dr. Saddler because he is compassionate with his patients, just like I am. Dr. Saddler does not only encourage our patients to maintain their oral health, but also motivates them to pursue their goals. What pleases me the most about my career is being able to get to know my patients one on one, and taking the time to educate them in understanding the importance of their oral healthcare. Seeing my patients leave with a smile on their face is what makes my job fulfilling.
My dental field experience began in 2007 after I graduated from the Eden Area Regional Occupational Program Center in Hayward as a dental assistant. I graduated as a dental hygienist in 2011 from Carrington College in San Jose. I continue to take educational classes to provide my patients with current oral health education.
I am married to a wonderful husband and am a proud mother of two, whom I love to watch grow. My family and I enjoy spending quality time together, performing different activities, and helping others.

I am a part of Saddler Family Dentistry’s front office, and have 16 years of experience in dentistry. My specific role is billing and claims. I am also a registered dental assistant, and always happy to make patients feel welcome in our homelike office family setting.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, concerts, and arts and crafts.
